You Need to Be You
There’s a version of you that feels most true.
Not polished, not perfected. Just honest. Real. Alive.
But it’s easy to lose track of ourselves. Over time, we learn to shape-shift. To fit in, to be liked, to stay safe, to be chosen. We follow the norms and social rules. We do what’s expected. We shrink a little. Or a lot.
Over time, we forget what it feels like to live authentically and we become someone else.
This is your reminder: be you.
Not who others expect. Not who culture rewards. Just… you.
Why? Because you are who we need.
You are not here by accident. You have a way of seeing, thinking, creating, relating, and contributing that no one else does.
Being your real you is what the world needs.
“Our deepest calling is to grow into our authentic selfhood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks, we will also find our path of authentic service in the world.”
Being you isn’t about striving or fixing.
It’s about remembering and returning. To allow your real self to take up space again.
It’s not easy, but it is simple. And, I can tell you from experience, it is life changing. Over time, being you will lead you to find authentic friends, community, work and fulfilment.
And people who are themselves, give courage to others to do the same. Simply being you will bring hope and health to others.
I hope I’ve convinced you how important it is to be you!
What would it look like today to be more you?
Not with a big plan. Not with pressure.
Just a gentle, quiet willingness to come home to yourself.
With you in the journey,
Justine
