Sabbath
A day of rest and delight is a gift from Yahweh, one of the sacred rhythms we honor as followers of the Jesus-way. Built into creation itself, Sabbath was given to humankind on their very first full day of life. God rested, blessed the day, and set it apart for our renewal.
Sabbath is an invitation into rest, joy, and trust. When we stop working, producing, and striving, we remember that the world is held together by God, not by us. In practising Sabbath, we make space to breathe deeply, to remember who we are, and to receive the goodness of God.
The practice of Sabbath isn’t something we master all at once—it’s a lifelong journey of learning how to slow down, delight in God, and live in rhythm with creation.
There is deep healing and quiet growth in embracing the ways and patterns Yahweh has given for our flourishing.
