Prayer

Prayer is a word that means “talking with God.” Through prayer, we bring our whole selves—our joys, questions, dreams, and fears—to our Creator who knows us and loves us.

Jesus intentionally showed us how to pray. He prayed alone, with others, in quiet moments, and in crisis. Prayer wasn’t just part of His life—it was the way He lived. When we pray, we are following in His way: making space to listen, speak, and rest in God’s nearness.

There’s no single way to pray. Prayer doesn’t have to be fancy or done the “right” way. Some prayers are words; some are tears. Some are silent. Some are written. Some are sung. God is excited to talk with you however you want! It’s okay to be messy and unsure. Even our doubts and anger can be prayer. God welcomes it all. And, as we talk with God, the conversations shape us over time, tenderly forming our hearts to trust, listen, and walk with God daily.

Prayer might feel awkward, but it’s worth trying every day.
